I am and will always be an artist and purist at heart. Personally I don't incorporate any 3rd-party tools, plugins or frameworks to complete a project. A lot of my work is based on a common foundation to start with, but all of my code is written from scratch. Hand-written original craftsmanship is a dying artform. Not that coding has ever been condsidered to be art. The productionline mentality of developers breeds laziness and greed. You get overcharged for something that took someone 5 minutes to download freely and deploy with just a couple of clicks. You simply build better websites when you know and understand where every line of code comes from.
